Rose Marie Vetrano Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Rose Marie Vetrano of Baldwin Place, NY formerly of Yonkers and Boynton Beach, Florida passed away on July 11, 2022. Rose was born January 13, 1923 in Yonkers to Francesco and Felicia Filippone. She married Eli Vetrano on July 28, 1945. Rose lived in Yonkers for 67 years where she raised her children. She enjoyed spending time with her family and made many lifelong friendships there. She was a parishioner of Saint John the Baptist Church and an active member of the Holy Rosary Society. Rose and Eli enjoyed retirement in Florida from 1990 through 2014. Her time in Florida brought her much joy including traveling, bingo, bocce, organizing community events and of course her visits from her family. She moved to Baldwin Place, NY in 2014 and made many wonderful friends. She passed peacefully in her home surrounded by family and her angel caregiver Angie Almondia. Rose is survived by two sons, Eugene Vetrano (Sharon), Frank "Skip" Vetrano, daughter Diane Vaccaro (Charles). Also survived by grandchildren Jeanine DeMarco (Tony), Brandi Shelton (Tim), Vanessa Vaccaro (Everett), Stefanie Pestone (Joseph), Alexandra Jepsen (Mark), Brianna Vaccaro (Ryan) and Alyssa Sharpe (James). Eight great grandchildren Sydnie, Kyle, Trevor, Jake, Savannah, Riley, Jaxson and Joie. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Eli, two sisters Sarah Crescenzo and Frances Garcia and her beloved daughter-in-law Linda Vetrano. Family will honor Rose's life privately at the Yorktown Funeral Home on Wednesday July 13, 2022. Family and friends are welcome to join the family at the Mass of Christian burial at 11:00 am at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Church.
