Peter Christopher Egan Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Peter Christopher Egan of Yorktown Heights passed away on June 1, 2022. Peter was born May 9, 1972 in New York City to Charles & Margaret Egan. Peter was raised in Cold Spring and graduated from Our Lady of Lourdes High School in 1990 where he was later inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame. Pete received a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Manhattan College in 1994 where he was a pitcher for the Jaspers. Peter’s law enforcement career began in 1996 when he joined the US Capitol Police. He was a member of the Dignitary Protection Division and spent many years on the detail of Representative Tom DeLay. Peter became a Special Agent with Homeland Security Investigations in 2004, joining the El Dorado Task Force which has been responsible for some monumental cases. Peter married Sarah (Maloney) Egan on April 29, 2006 and welcomed two sons Sean (2010) and Ryan (2013) into his life. His sons were his pride and joy and he enjoyed nothing more than coaching their baseball teams. Peter was a proud fan of the New York Giants, Yankees, Knicks & Rangers. Peter was one of the good guys who would do anything for his friends & family. He was proud of his Irish heritage and was often seen wearing one of his favorite Irish caps. He will be remembered most for his loyalty, sense of humor, sarcasm and love of Bud Light. Peter is survived by his wife Sarah, sons Sean & Ryan, father Charles, brothers Charles Egan (Tracy), Patrick Egan (Xiomara) and a sister Kathleen Howard (David). Predeceased by his mother Margaret. Family & friends will honor Peter’s life at the Yorktown Funeral Home on Sunday June 5, 2022 from 3 to 8pm. Mass of Christian burial Monday at 11:15am St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church. Interment to follow at Cold Springs Cemetery.
