    Noreen Casey

    February 12, 1963 - August 17, 2020

Noreen Ann Casey of Peekskill, NY passed away, peacefully, on August 17, 2020 following a 4 month valiant battle against Lung Cancer. She was surrounded by her loving husband and children. Noreen was born February 12, 1963 in Queens, NY to John & Catherine Campbell. On January 26, 1991 Noreen married Robert Casey and shortly after they began their journey as parents; raising two children together, Katelynn and Bobby! Noreen spent many years working for Lakeland Schools and then worked in a daycare setting. She so loved working with children. Throughout the years she would run into the children she once enjoyed interacting with and her face would light up every time! She took pride in her work with each and every child over the years. Noreen was beloved by the parents, and she was truly valued for the love and joy she demonstrated as a caregiver. She took great pride in her work; impacting so many young lives and creating so many wonderful memories. Her impact on others was profound and genuine. Noreen had a special way of making everyone feel welcomed. Whether it was a stranger on the street, her childrens’ friends coming over for a visit, a neighbor or just about anyone she came in contact with. She was known for her generosity, always making sure that her loved ones were provided for, while her needs were secondary. Noreen loved being a wife and a mother more than anything else in the world. The love that she had for her husband and children was profound, unconditional and truly her greatest joy. She dedicated her life to ensure their happiness and well-being was a priority. Demonstrating it effortlessly and humbled by praise, in doing so. Noreen is predeceased by her parents John and Catherine Campbell, her in-laws Robert and Catherine Casey, her brothers John and Michael Campbell, and sister Theresa Frigge. Noreen is survived by her husband Robert Casey; the love of her life and best friend. Her beloved children Katelynn (Jonathan) Fiorio, Robert Casey III. She is also survived by her 10 sisters in-law, 12 brothers in-law and her many nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by all. Noreen’s family would like to thank everyone for their continued support during this difficult time. The compassion, love and support have sustained us and will continue to do so, in our time of grief. “When we lose someone we love we must learn not to live without them, but to live with the love they left behind” – Anonymous The family will receive visitors on Thursday, August 20th from 5-9pm at Yorktown Funeral Home. We request all visitors wear a mask, in accordance to COVID guidelines.
