    Gregory J. Lisella

    May 22, 1984 - April 22, 2022

Gregory Joseph Lisella, born 22 May, 1984, passed away in the early hours of Friday, 22 April 2022, from complications resulting from a sudden cardiac arrest. Greg is remembered by every soul he touched for his sense of humor, quick wit, and the love he had for his family. The warmth of his personality filled every room he entered, and he served as a source of strength and wisdom, always helping his family and team through any hardship. Gregory was the second-oldest in a family of 5 children born to parents Bonnie and Jerry Lisella. Along with his sister Sarah, he helped raise his 3 younger siblings, who looked to him for help with school projects, video game levels and, as they joined him in adulthood, any questions they had about major life events. In the rare occasions where he didn’t have an answer or advice stemming from his own experience, he would always have a sarcastic joke or retort to make them laugh instead. Having Greg as an older brother was as much about having someone to make sure you completed chores and washed up as it was having an emcee to give live commentary in WWE-style sibling wrestling matches. It was that exact balance of fun and firm as an older brother that made him such an incredible father. Greg’s three beautiful children were spoiled by his love and endless devotion to them. They were his entire world and soul, whom he raised to have empathy for others, respect for themselves, and—of course—the same brand of goofball energy as their father. Together with his wife Maggie, their home is filled to the brim with love, where family and friends gather to eat, play and share in boundless amounts of belly-laughs together. Greg was also the proud and loving godfather to Greyson Fraietta. Greg embraced the value of hard work, and never lacked dedication to achieving his goals with success. Earning his BS from SUNY Empire State in 2012, he started a rich career in marketing and advertising, built on his unparalleled work ethic, longstanding relationships, and the knowledge and expertise of how to build businesses and grow their brands. For the past 10 years, Greg has worked for GTB (Global Team Blue), marketing for Ford Motor Company covering “every piece of the puzzle.” The coworkers, managers and industry professionals he worked with remember him for his drive and ability to balance fun with professionalism. The love Greg had for his family and friends will never be lost, and continues to be felt by them in his absence. He is survived by his soulmate and wife, Maggie Lisella (Lancaster), his father Jerry Lisella, his mother Bonnie Lisella, his sister(s) Sarah (Sheldon Dalton), Ali and Becca Lisella, his brother Gerard Lisella, his niece and 2 nephews and his large and exuberant extended family. He blessed this world leaving behind three beautiful children; Sophia (12), Mason (3) and Lucian (8wks). In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider making a contribution to the GoFundMe set up by Greg's siblings to help support his wife and children: https://gofund.me/53b2a33d Visitation and viewing hours are Wednesday 4/27/2022 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Yorktown Funeral Home 945 East Main Street Shrub Oak, NY 10588.
