Felix J. Bocchino of Mahopac passed away on August 13, 2021 at the age of 73. Felix was born in Brooklyn NY on July 26, 1948 to Luigi and Anna Bocchino. Felix married the love of his life, Frances Onofrio, on June 26, 1976. One of Felix's greatest enjoyments in life was education and could entertain a room with his vast knowledge. He served honorably in the National Guard before earning his PhD in Entomology at Fordham University. He worked as a professor of biology for 45 years for College of Mount Saint Vincent and Manhattan College in Riverdale, NY. He was universally loved by his students who elected him "teacher of the year" every year he was eligible (7x winner). Felix was an avid sports fan and loved to travel with his wife. He was one of a kind and will be missed by all that knew him. He is survived by his wife Frances, his twin children Christina Salo and Michael Bocchino. His daughter in law Pascale Bocchino and son in law Philip Salo. His adoring grandchildren Isabella Bocchino, Alexa Salo, Quentin Salo and Daniel Bocchino. His beloved sister Carmela Bocchino. His sister in law Maryann Bocchino, his brother in law Santo Onofrio and his nephews Louis Bocchino, Rosario Onofrio and Robert Onofrio. He is predeceased by brother Anthony Bocchino who he always looked up to. Family and friends will honor Felix's life at the Yorktown Funeral Home on Monday August 16, 2021 from 2 to 8pm. Prayer service on Tuesday at 11am is immediate family
