Obituary for Emilia Violante Emilia Violante of Yorktown Heights passed away on Feb. 27, 2022. Emilia was born on Feb. 1, 1939 in Cugnoli, Italy to Emidio and Ersilia DiMarco. She came to United States with her family in 1952. On Sept. 21, 1957 she married Fernando Violante. Emilia worked as a seamstress and was a member of the I.L.G.W.U. She loved cooking big Sunday dinners and taking care of her pets and spoiling her grand and great grandchildren. She raised her family in Yonkers and then moved to Lake Wallenpaupack PA to enjoy her retirement. She subsequently came to Yorktown to be close to her son Robert. She will be greatly missed by her friends and family. Emilia is survived by her son Robert and his wife Marianne, a grandson Eric and his wife Candice and 2 great grandchildren Aurora and William. Predeceased by her husband Fernando, son Anthony and grandson Michael. Family and friends will gather at the Yorktown Funeral Home on Saturday March 5, 2022 from 10am to 12:45pm. There will be a religious service at 1pm. Entombment to follow at Ferncliff Cemetery.
