Anantrai Pandya

July 11, 1939 - April 23, 2022

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Anantrai V. Pandya was the heart and soul of the Pandya Family. He passed away peacefully at the age of 82 on April 23rd, 2022 surrounded by his loving family and friends. Anantrai was born on July 11,1939 in Katras, Dhanbad to Vishwanath and Champaben Pandya. He spoke very fondly of his childhood in Katras and was able to excel in his education. To further pursue his education, he emigrated to the United States in 1960 to attend Fairleigh Dickinson University. Here he acquired two bachelor's degrees and then a master's degree at Stevens Institute of Technology. All the while, he worked hard to support his family back in India. He selflessly called over his brothers, sisters and parents to the United States and built a foundation for them as well. He was a loving husband of 50 years to Pratima Pandya and father to two children, Venu Mehta and Anand Pandya. He was also a grandfather to four, all of whom he loved dearly. The absence of his presence will be felt deeply by the entire Pandya Family and the larger community. We would love for you to come and honor his life at the funeral.
