William John DeTorres 67, of Putnam Valley, N.Y. passed away on September 22, 2012. He was born May 28, 1945 in Manhattan to Salvatore and Mary DeTorres. He is survived by his loving wife Jane, son Nicholas William daughter Elizabeth Marie; son William Jr. daughter in-law Susie and grandson William Libro. Other family members are sisters Joyce Sgobbo, Barbara D’Ambrosio (deceased) brother Salvatore sister in-law Filomena, and many nieces and nephews. William established Mohegan Beer and Soda in 1979 and actively managed it until present. William loved spending time with his family, relatives and many friends. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday 2 to 5pm. and 7 to 9pm. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday 10am. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Shrub Oak N.Y. Interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne, N.Y.
