Testimonials

We receive many letters from the families we've served, thanking us for our caring ways during their time of loss. Their words warm our hearts, and speak to you of our professionalism, compassion, and the true value of the services we provide.

  • We just wanted to say thank you for your compassion and kindness during this sad time-the passing our mom. Everything was wonderful and the flowers were gorgeous. It was a beautiful place to say goodbye to a beautiful lady- “GMA” would have been very pleased! Warm Regards

  • Anthony and staff; I have attended 3 services at your funeral home recently. I just wanted to let you know that I have never had such a comforting experience at such a difficult time. Your funeral home is the nicest funeral home I have ever been in. The atmospher there is very relaxing and your staff is so supportive of those who were dealing with the loss of a loved one. I think your home is a wonderful addition to the area. I know that when the time comes that I should need such services I would not hesitate in making my arrangements with you. Thank you.

  • Dear Anthony, Thank you very much for the special attention you paid our family in our time of need. As we approach one from our mothers passing and writing out thank you notes for the many sympathy cards, we find ourselves remember all sorts of times past. Many memories of mom and then our father, who passed in 1988, and of, course the kindness of you and your colleges. Your professionalism and especially patience were greatly appreciated. You all can take special pride in the work you do- your fine new building, its surroundings and every detail was done to perfection. Thank you,

  • Dear Anthony & Company, I just wanted to write a quick note acknowledging that the Yorktown Funeral Home is the best in the area. We actually had time to “shop around” as we were pre-planning our very sick father’s funeral. Once executed, your place was simply perfect in every way. There was not even a “hiccup” during the entire process from start to finish. You and your group made a very difficult day manageable as well as beautiful. The rooms are inviting and my father looked fantastic and at peace for the first time in a year. We thank you profoundly for being so willing to accommodate us in every way possible (which goes a long way during a time of such stress!). You have our most sincere gratitude and with such a big family, our future business!

  • It has been a few months since my mom has passed away. As I look back on her wake and funeral, it was truly a celebration of a life well lived. Our family and friends are still commenting on the peaceful atmosphere, the home like feel and the welcoming staff at Yorktown Funeral Home. From the moment I met Anthony, he helped me honor my mom’s wishes, paying attention to every detail. By pre-planning her funeral, it eased the pain once the moment came. Tracey put together a beautiful video of my mom’s life, enjoyed by those who loved her so. Every aspect of the wake and funeral went so smoothly, giving us a chance to focus on what was important. My family and I also want to thank you for the beautiful holiday celebration of life and the ongoing bereavement services offered at the Home. It is so comforting at such a difficult time. I came to you through a recommendation and would highly recommend Yorktown Funeral Home to anyone who wants to pay tribute to his or her loved one in an uplifting atmosphere. With deep gratitude,

  • This past week I have been to the wake and funeral of a very dear friend, Mrs. Barbara L. Stofko. I have not been to your funeral home before this and didn’t know what to expect. From the moment I walked in I was greeted in a most warm fashion and taken to the room/s where the family were receiving guests. What I saw was exceptional care, kindness and thoughtfulness you and Eric showed to everyone there. I was very impressed with how you made sure the mass cards were carefully collected, your constant presence made me feel that if anyone needed anything, you were there to be of assistance. As we were leaving the wake, It had started to rain hard and Eric quickly got an umbrella and walked myself and others out to their cars. It was very considerate and I thank him very much. I was even more impressed with how the funeral home handled the trip from the church to the cemetery. Their were so many cars going that it was impossible to keep up with them, but you did. You had someone wave on the cars at Routes 202 & 35. And again at the cemetery you were directing cars and you handed out flowers..a very lovely and meaningful way to say good-bye since Barbara loved flowers. And then handing out water bottles on an exceptionally hot day, was extremely impressive. You thought of everything to make the mourners and family a little more comfortable in their grief. I wish you the best of luck in your business. I will not forget the way we were treated and I will recommend The Yorktown Funeral Home to others. Sincerely
