James B. Langan retired NYC FD of Yorktown Heights, NY passed away on July 27, 2012. James was born on January 25, 1928 in the Bronx, NY to Thomas and Elizabeth Langan. He serviced honorably in the US Army. On October 1, 1950 James married Dorothy Koch at St. Benedicts Church. James was a member of the NYC FD served as a Chief of the 10th Battalion, and retiring in 1991. James is survived by his daughter Susan Palumbo (Dennis), three grandsons; Dennis Jr., Matthew, and Michael, and brother Thomas. James is predeceased by his wife Dorothy and daughter Patricia Langan Mrsich. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday July 30, 2012 from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday at St. Patrick’s Church (main) at 10:15am. Entombment to follow at Ferncliff Cemetery.
